A.M.E. Fournier was a renowned 19th Century Parisian furniture designer and upholsterer active during the Second Empire (c. 1850–1870s). Known for luxurious giltwood, upholstered furniture, and exceptional carving, he is most famous for his "rope-twist" stools and chairs, which were showcased at the 1867 Exposition Universelle. He operated in Paris, first at 109 Boulevard Beaumarchais (from 1850) and later at 12 Boulevard des Capucines. His furniture is considered rare and highly collectable, with pieces found in notable collections like the Musée National du Château de Compiègne and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
