 A mid nineteenth century Italian centre table, the top with radiating star marquetry, with a wide band of convolvulus, the symbol of everlasting love. The top tilting to reveal a compartment for writing, with gilt tooled leather top, inkwells and compartments. Below, a section of graduated compartments for sewing, all supported on a turned pedestal and stylised tripod base.
