A fine early 19th century mahogany writing table with 6 drawers, 3 to the back and 3 to the front, with Egyptian mask handles, green leather top, all supported on tapering, fluted legs, terminating in brass castors. STAMPED GILLOWS.
Gillows of Lancaster was an English furniture making firm based in Lancaster and in London, founded in 1730 by Robert Gillow. They made pieces of exceptional quality, with a number of items in the Royal collection.
