A rare and fine Murano mirror of exceptionally large scale, the frame with inset cavetto mouldings, and hexagonal strapwork decoration, with applied foliate emblems, the panels of glass engraved with classical figures and flowers. The mirror with attached cresting, with foliate carved decoration and central panel of a seated figure of Minerva, with an oxidised mercury mirror plate.
