An Art Deco lamp with mottled pink glaze and contrasting white ribbed bands to the middle, the rim and the base. By Marcel Guillard for Etling Paris. Stamped to the base.

Etling Paris was founded in 1909 by Edmond Laurent Etling, launching his first shop on the Rue du Paradis in Paris. The shop represented talented designers, sculptors and architects, selling exclusive high quality objects.

A particular role was played by the artist Marcel Guillard, whose atelier was well known for its outstanding ceramics and glass. Many other artists came to train in his workshop.
