A FINE BAROVIER PULEGOSO GLASS CHANDELIER

A fine early twentieth century Barovier pulegoso chandelier in opaque white glass with pale blue insets. 

The Pulegoso process traps tiny air bubbles within the glass giving off a frosty appearance. 
Barovier comes from a long standing family line of glassmakers. The family is recorded as working in Venice as early as 1324. Ercole Barovier, son of Benvenuto Barovier became a partner in his families company at age 30. In 1926 he took over its management with brother Nicol and in 1942 the company was renamed Barovier & Toso.
